Climate Resilience of Forest Ecosystems, Biodiversity & Adaptive Capacities of Forest Dependent Communities in Tripura (CREFLAT PROJECT)

The main quantitative results include:
- Preparation of 129 Village Development Plan (VDP)
- 1245 ha treated with soil and water conservation measures
- Construction of 645 nos. check dams
- Construction of 645 nos. brushwood check dam
- Rejuvenation of 355 ha area for springs
- Establishment of 11 no’s Block Community-based Conservation Areas
- Establishment forest corridors in 7 blocks (50ha each) and aquatic & riverine corridors in 7 blocks (50ha each).
- Establishment of 3 cluster-level Farm and Forest Products Centres (FFPCs)
- 6 producer/processing entities supported to get ISO 9001 certification
- 4 entities with organic certification
- Formation of 645 Nos. SHG (Rs. 5 Lakh per village)
- Rs. 5 Lakh per village for SHG
- Raising of Plantation over 11000 Ha
- Rs. 5 Lakh per village for Entry point Activities
Plantation Models:
Aided Natural Re-generation(ANR):
- 1000 ha ANR-1 (ANR in Regenerating degraded Forest)
- 1000 ha ANR-2 (Biodiversity Conservation)
- 1500 ha ANR-3 (Catchment Area Protection)
- 1500 ha ANR-4 (Enrichment Plantation)
Artificial Re-generation(AR):
- 400 ha AR-1(Energy Plantation)
- 800 ha AR-2(Wild Edible Fruit Tree Plantation)
- 600 ha AR-3(Mixed Plantation)
- 1200 ha HDB(High Density Plantation -Kanak Kaich)
- 200 ha(Gandhaki)
- 300 ha TM(Broom Grass)
- 2500 ha FTP(Three/Four Tier Plantation on Patta Land)
